11th Hour Mass
-Cipactli, San Francisco State University, Fall 2007 (Printed As: Dinosaurs)
In a roofless church breached by the brain of God
out of the sod the pews were rising
and the earth had been crying
its face was matted with wet and grass
every one of our steps—swallowed
Have you ever felt this lonely, I asked
I was standing on broken stones like divination ruins—
a month before I left you, again
The crows began to land, one by one
near saintly stained glass, now shelled out
you stood below with a camera, your one-hole eye
and listened to my altar words
and I said, take a picture,
because we'll need this when we get older
